In September, Albertans will come to celebrate far more than just another calendar month.

In a press conference, Premier Jason Kenney declared that September 1st would be forever known as Alberta Day – a non-stat meant to commemorate its establishment in 1905.

Alberta became a province on September 1, 1905.

In recognition of this anniversary,

Alberta Day will be a chance for communities across Alberta to come together and celebrate everything that makes this province special.

Come celebrate Alberta!
